There are many different types of drainage board and drainage board composites available on the market today. And with the many different types are just as many levels of quality and performance. Don’t be fooled by cheap knockoffs with polystyrene cores that break and crush easily when backfilling. At HouseGuard™, we’ve taken the uncertainty out of the decision process for you by carefully screening the types of drainage board we represent. Only those with a proven history of quality and performance, which provide protection to the waterproofing membrane, as well as superior drainage, are allowed to be used as a component in the HouseGuard™ Waterproofing System. HouseGuard™ drainage board systems contain high density polyethylene cores with a non-woven geotextile cloth wrap to keep the drainage path open and free from silt and soils which can plug drainage passages. Delta®-Dry, an innovative barrier/drainage board for cavity walls provides an air-gap technology for draining any water which may infiltrate the exterior siding or veneer to prevent damage to interior construction materials.

In markets where insulation is not desired or if codes do not allow it below grade, you can still rest easy as HouseGuard™ includes it’s TruDrain™ protective drainage composite as well as the full line of Delta® drainage board products such as Delta®-MS and Delta®-Drain from Cosella-Doerken as part of the HouseGuard™ Waterproofing System. Cosella-Doerken is a proven manufacturer of superior air-gap drainage barrier sheeting. Either of these highly effective air-gap and drainage sheet products will provide superior protection for TruDry™ waterproofing membranes while providing excellent drainage to keep your walls dry.
